Back to Back Sinking

Have any producers ever considered doing a back to back quicksand scene with two actresses? Meaning you have both actresses (tied) sinking with their backs against each other. Then you would have two cameras filming each actress right in front and edit to cut back and forth from both. Is something like this possible? I can imagine the possibilities. Just throwing it out there to the quicksand ether.

Sure its possible, although you would have to be careful that the cameras and/or tripods were not in the others' frame. This would be easiest and safest if each camera were elevated and looking downward at each actress. If you tried to have the cameras at eye level then the cameras would see each other if the actresses moved to one side or the other. Eye level would also be a problem if there was a submergence because then both cameras would see each other. It might be possible, of course, to build that into the story.

I have made a reply to this in the Studio forum.

Was randomly thinking about this last night.

It might be possible while two girls are back to back sinking to have a camera facing one of the girls from the front but also from an angle. Just enough where the other girl can have a camera facing her but at a different angle and where the two cameras don't see each other.

Also, and probably more of a real challenge, it would be neat to see two girls back to back sinking with both hands tied above their head.

Two actresses with hands over head and side by side has been done. Back to back would be more of a challenge in that both would have to be fully vertical, but it could be done in a relatively low density mud such as cork or "Gallium Polykryptonite."

I think it's a good suggestion and it actually solves a couple of problems encountered in the past.
