Hello All,
My Girlfriend & I have been talking about sinking together in quicksand or deep mud this summer. This is something we both never done & we want to do this together for the first time. What would be a safe spot to sink in the Rhode Island/ Massachusetts area? I myself is new to the area & I'm not sure where to go. What would be recommended for first time sinkers (supplies, etc)? suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot
Eddy

I grew up in Connecticut and southern Rhode Island. There are many good places in South RI. Look along the inland shore of the sand spits of the coastal salt ponds, particularly Quonochontaug Pond and Ninigret Pond. There is also Great Swamp wildlife refuge just west of Kingston - a wild and desolate swamp. Good luck.
