Quicksand Fans

well, finally went down to my trusted sinking spot of 19 years for the first time this year last night, only to find that it has been 100% washed away there was bridge construction just upstream of it, which with the berms that were in place, changed the flow of the river enough to totally wash away any shore. ugh this really sucks, well i'm going to have to start looking elsewhere even harder now but so far all my efforts have been futile it seems. Maybe one day i shall find another place to go.

Very sorry to hear this muddypup. I have considered that this could happen to me too. My spot is on a river which is always changing.

On the bright side, at least you got 19 seasons to enjoy it. Were you the only one all that time?

It will be very hard for me to find a place that has all the nice features of my current spot and be within the short distance I travel.

very true, i will always have the memories of my spot, maybe one year it will come back to some extent. i was the only one that sank there as far as i know of, i did take a few friends there a few times, but there was never any evidence to show that anyone else had also been sinking there. i have a few locations picked out now to explore, so fingers crossed that i can find something ^_^

thanks Boggy, i have a few new leads on google maps, just have to find time to get out there now and explore.

It can be exciting to go check on a potential new spot! That said, I think we’ve all had our share of let downs, but I’m always looking for new places to go, but I think I’ve exhausted the google maps option in my area...
