YouTube once again killing QS profiles - where to go next

Hi Folks,

As you likely saw over the summer, YouTube began removing profiles with lots of quicksand material on them, and forcing others to sign in. My "Mike Sullivan" quicksand and mud page was one such casualty. This was the 4th (and most successful) channel I've ever had on YouTube - and my last. I'll be looking for alternatives - not sure where, as Daily Motion and other sites have axed my profiles in the past. So, if you have suggestions, let me know here, or email me directly at michaelleachphoto@gmail.com

Luckily, DeviantArt still allows me to post photos, so I'll continue to use that site - and also Twitter. Others have suggested Instagram, but I believe that does not allow nudity, correct?

Ah - social media challenges for our community - so glad Dave & others give us this site.

Tumblr works well for photos and gifs. If you upload “explicit” videos they will hit you. Terms of service say one thing but they arbitrarily decide what works for them on video. Even individual gifs have to be under 2mb.

You might already know, but, just a word to the wise for any and all producers who are also there:

Be sure you know where your model releases are and be prepared to present them to DeviantArt.

One of my connections lost a picture when some anonymous dweeb decided to report it on the basis of that he wanted to know if the model had consented to this being posted. Yes, the photographer had a release and it was a real quicksand shoot -- but he either didn't feel like looking or couldn't remember where it was.

So DeviantArt axed the picture and sent a warning. Fortunately it was just a picture pulled, not a ban or a suspension.
