Hurricane Michael - Alarm

The storm named Michael was just classified as a category 1 hurricane. Reports, however, are saying that when it makes landfall - pretty much hitting Tallahassee, Florida - it may be a 2 or even a 3. It is reported to be a fast-moving storm so there will not be a whole lot of time to get out of the way so PAY ATTENTION and get ready to bail NOW if in the threatened area.

According to Google Maps it is 715 miles from Tallahassee to the location of Studio 588, so it is unlikely anyone here will need to travel that far in an evacuation, but be advised there IS space here if needed. Email for directions BEFORE the power goes out.

Let's just clarify one point. There would be absolutely no charge to anyone coming here for emergency shelter.

This storm is now a 3 and there is some speculation it could become a 4. Go now, while you can, if in its path.

Lots of news articles about people deciding to ride it out.........one couple on vacation basically said they'd be fine because they have a cooler of ice and a little stove to make coffee. Nothing to see here folks. That's just our maintenance guy Charles Darwin scraping some algae out of the gene pool.
