Welcome - I coincidentally just watched Blazing Saddles start to finish this weekend. Would the collar "Mongo" have anything to do with Alex Karrass' character in that movie, or am I off base?

You are correct! The name does sort of come from the movie, especially in the case that "Mongo only pawn in game of life" lol! How I actually got the name happened back in high school. My English teacher had become a good friend of mine, and as I walked into class one day, he stated that I needed a nickname. He looked at me for a second, and then said, "how about Mongo?"

"Cool with me!" and the rest is history. Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome!
