I'm around here daily, but I don't really know much about this cool community, so, I have a little question for y'all:
What's your favourite word (or general element) to do with quicksand?
Personally, my favourite word would be 'sunk'. I don't know why, but it's a pretty sexy kind of word. I used to prefer 'sank', but now I associate that with more watery stuff (like ships sinking at sea).
Lemme know about your favourite word to do with quicksand

If I stick with the same verb I would go with "sinking" because it implies an ongoing process and movement.

I’ve always liked the phrase “being sucked under”

Interesting question. I think the first trigger would be "can't move". "Stuck", "trapped" and "sink" are close.

I've always found that the words 'sinking' and 'quicksand' will always get a rise out of me. Heaven forbid I be with others and someone happens to say those words, or there be a scene on TV.

These opinions are super cool, thanks for the replies, people! *thumbs up!*
Perhaps we could get some least favourite words to do with quicksand too??
