Don't mean to be rude or anything, just here say there's a similar conversation in this thread from earlier this year.

I don't see that any harm is done by a topic that is similar or the same as one in the past, so long as the new iteration is made in good faith. Its a lot better than bumping an old thread. This is a large community and new members come in all the time. The topic here is not of great interest to ME, but I DO recall being almost mesmorized by the sound of the word "quicksand" when I was little. I remember saying the word over and over with different cadences and finding that some cadences were more interesting than others. I even remember the TV scene that started this interest in the sound.

I'm in the minority here, but the word "quicksand" gives me nothing. I always think about the real thing and its completely different from the videos we see here.

I'm a fan of "bog", "morass", "quagmire". Also "quickmud" is interesting as a fantasy-thing.

Regarding my other interests: "It's swamping my waders/boots" is something i like to hear...
I'm already chindeep in this mudbog and every desperate attempt to move my stuck legs only drives me deeper in. The thick mud slowly swamps my waders and my arms have nothing to hold onto.
I'm feeling home.

In my post here this morning I left out the name of the TV program. I couldn't remember it at the time and was too busy to look it up. Anyway, I remembered. It was Ramar. Or Remar of the Jungle. Something like that. It was a male scene involving Ramar's sidekick. So far as I am aware the scene is not available anywhere although other episodes of the series are.
