Does wearing shoes make it harder to escape quicksand?
Does wearing shoes make it harder to escape quicksand compared to barefoot? If so, how much harder? Do sneakers produce a ton of suction?

I'm already chindeep in this mudbog and every desperate attempt to move my stuck legs only drives me deeper in. The thick mud slowly swamps my waders and my arms have nothing to hold onto.

I would say yes it does. There have been MANY occasions when an actress has interrupted filming to request to take off shoes or boots. Many times the actress will keep them on, knowing that is desired by viewers but there are occasions when the choice is take them off or not be able to finish the scene.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 13 different producers. Info may be found at:

How does the suction produced by sneakers compared to that of boots?

Depends on the sneakers. Depends on the boots.
For example, Sketchers have a sole that flairs out, especially at the heel. Lots of suction, while my stiletto thigh highs slip in and out.

Does the part of the boot that covers the lower part of your leg produce suction?

You have a video when you are wearing these?

Re: Does wearing shoes make it harder to escape quicksand?
The observations are valid but I think a physicist would argue that suction has nothing to do with anything here. Its friction. There will be more friction as a shoe is moved through any fluid because the shoe is larger than a foot and has a more irregular surface. If that fluid is highly viscous the effect of the friction is increased because the fluid does not flow easily. For what its worth, I am not a physicist, although I may have played one somewhere.
