Hey,
I'm checking to see if there is anyone in southern California who knows any good sinking locations or would be down to go with me. I know of a location in Newport and looking for someone to explore some other spots I think might be fun to check out. I'm in LA but willing to go other places too.

I'd be interested - can you actually go in them? I don't know how hot they are.

Yes, takes a little doing but as they are remote but I've got a Jeep Rubicon and tandem kayak and can get the job done. Some of the mud volcanoes are definitely hot but some are on the edge of a pond so there is sure to be a thermal gradient where the mud is only warm. If you want to do this, message me so we can start planning for a visit...
