Re: News from the Great Swamp! Tours available NOW! :D
Though I have not yet updated the TGS tour, I just wanted to let you know that I am making progress. I have also been dabbling with some new techniques for simulating quicksand (as discussed with DangerousWill here) and Millie, though she is not yet a guide, is already hard at work scouting new locations in the swamps that may become part of the tour.

I like where you're going with it. Keep up the good work (and it's a lot of it, as you well know)!
Damn this slow quicksand! I have half a mind to struggle!

Millie will have to decide either to save or swamp her kneeboots.
Finding the deep stuff is sure worth it

I'm already chindeep in this mudbog and every desperate attempt to move my stuck legs only drives me deeper in. The thick mud slowly swamps my waders and my arms have nothing to hold onto.
I'm feeling home.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! Millie has a knack for finding those deep spots. Well, that's not too hard around here. But thankfully she is also able to get out of them... most of the time.
Shetani still has some unfinished business there, which I would like to return to sometime after expanding the tour. Other than that I do not have plans for the Mdogo so far. Why do you ask?

gjhkigkhjf may have had similar experience to me, where I've found some of the thickest, stickiest real-life quicksand and clay pits in what I initially thought were dry stream beds, and soon found out how wrong I was. Also, some of the creepiest terrain I've ever explored was up some mostly-dry feeder streams to larger rivers. There's a creek that feeds the Brazos close to where I am that absolutely made the hair on the back of my neck stand up the two or three times I've explored up it. It's weird and everything about it projects menace.
Your section on the Mdogo was the first thing I clicked on.

I only asked because it looks like it would be a major section of the tour since its the only one with a dedicated page not filled in and SabbieMobil is right about rivers being pretty good spots like swamps and bogs
