True I am sure but if they really wanted to spoof the horror flicks of the 50s what they should have done is about four quicksand scenes. Or eight.

Some of the biggest examples are in the Pokemon series. So many chances for the girls to sink or at least get messy...yet only two actually go through! What a waste!

Nancy Drew was the most disappointing TV scene ever when I was a kid.
Beautiful Girl in Boots. The sidekick suggests that a car that went missing after going down a ravine - may have sunk in quicksand.

They should have ended the series by turning the whole island into quicksand and have everyone get sucked under. That would have been way better.

First one that come to mind is Karen Gillian in the Jumanji reboot. It was an absolute gimme especially given most of movie they’re in the jungle anyway and there was a pivotal quicksand scene in the original and it just never happened.

Of course there’s always the dry sinking scene in Doctor Who but I’ve always been more of a sloppy muddy bog type of guy myself. See Hound of the Baskervilles or any scene featuring a peat bog from the producers here.
