Hello everyone, I'm fairly new as a member, and I was wondering if there was anybody in Italy?

Welcome! I'm not aware of any members from Italy - other than you, I presume. :)

Italy certainly should be well represented. The history of quicksand and related interests comes about more in Italian cinema than anywhere else. A beautiful place with beautiful women and great food. There should be a quicksand theme park with a nude statue of Sophia Loren near Naples.

And while we are here - I've been searching for this for quite a while - Io Jane, Tu Tarzan
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0483854/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

We know there was a fun girl/girl mud fight and I was hoping for a little more. My Google translation of things in Italian isn't up to a detailed search. I'm sure a native might have a better chance.

Very kind Duncan ... A film where there is a quicksand scene is "Divorzio all'italiana"

Oh yes, thank you. Many know this scene from Divorce, Italian Style very well. It's a great example of what I was talking about. I remember finding it for the first time on one of Dave's original clip tapes in 1995? So many great scenes from the likes of Ursus in the Valley of the Lions, The Mongols, Amuck, etc. They are always new to somebody so it never hurts to discuss them.

This film is very Italian .... In fact the story takes place in an Italian colony in the dark times of fascism ...
