A location for a QS story?

Apparently this path is so notorious that over the years British newspapers have sometimes referred to it as The Doomway.

The mud of the area is thick, black and glutinous. I can't be certain, but the dangerous sinking sands portrayed in Wilkie Collins' 'The Moonstone' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moonstone and the equally deadly quicksand shown in 'The Woman in Black' https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1596365/ may well be inspired by the Broomway.

If anyone's interested I can cite some more information from Robert Macfarlane's book 'The Old Ways', where he relates some of the Broomway's history and actually walks the intertidal track with an expert guide.

Thanks,

Redjak.

I would mainly want to write a story of an actual place I have been to that has deep mud. That way I can be involved. That or just a fictional one with original scenes.
