I saw in a store a Reader's Digest that had an article "I Survived..." It told about 3-4 short true stores about people winding up in situations and survived it
One story was from 2019 Utah where this couple went hiking that turned out to be a quicksand rescue. Inatally his girlfriend brifely wondered into it and got rescued when he pulled her out by her shoulders. Turns out he got stuck in it and spent the next 12 hours in it before he got rescued.
