Yea, they do fly.

It's not very graceful. I watched six or so fly right across the creek. Made quite a racket.

Oh no. Now someone is going to ask, "Why did the turkey cross the creek?"

One of my favorite series ever.

The wild turkeys at Camp MPV love to come off the bluff on the other side of the creek. Like Dave said, it's not pretty. I can just see Mr. Carlson getting a bunch of turkeys from a farm and thinking it's the same thing. The kind of turkey that goes on the table would have to have a ten foot wingspan to stay in the air.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

To avoid the Bald Eagle that flies right down the creek through the trees like an F-15. Seriously.

There should be a way to attach mini Stuka sirens to their talons. Hehe

But seriously, never in my life would I have anticipated hearing the sound of a bird 'soaring'. The flapping of wings for sure. But it sounded like a glider whizzing through there. :geek:
The Wizard of Ooze stays behind the curtain!
