New Zealand quicksand

Postby domman00016 » Sat Mar 18, 2023 9:37 pm

Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone here is from New Zealand or had visited and knows some good sinking places? Going on a trip next year and just curios if I can get into some sinking trouble while I am there. Thanks.

You might want to get in contact with the guy who produced the "Many Boots in Mud" series (trailers on Youtube).

He was briefly on this site as

The Old Dirty Boots

In a thread (Dirty Boots Productions compilation) he shared his email address as:

Avoid Rotorua. The mud pits there are hot enough to boil anyone unlucky enough to fall in to death in seconds. See Ngaio Marsh's novel for confirmation (also the cover of the paperback version)
"Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh! Quicksand! I'm sinking! I'll go straight to the bottom of.......GLURP!"
(a month later)
"Ugh! Yukkkh! Ptui! I'm out of it! I'm free! Not even quicksand can defeat the power of.....the Eye of Zoltec!"
