I'm saddened to report that our friend Dennis, aka Pete Boggs is no longer with us.
I wish I had some official word on this, but there is enough anecdotal information out there, coupled with personal knowledge of his recent health struggles, that it seems safe to report that he passed on or around January 24th.
Pete, as many of you know, was a prolific cartoon artist who created humorous, original artwork - and graciously made it available to the community. But he was also a very nice guy, who I will miss. He deserved to live a lot longer than he did.
In any case, I'll have more to say about Pete at a later time. Be well everyone.

Of all the obits I've read here, this may well be the saddest.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Re: Pete Boggs
I'm saddened to hear this. He was the second member of our community that I contacted. Kaol was the one who set us up.
I always loved his drawings and was a bit mystified by them too since he told me he drew everyone and everything without referencing ANY actual models. His work was cartoony, but he always had the anatomy right. Meanwhile, I usually still need to find a picture of a model, or at least a bendable Barbie doll (or a female action figure). It is too bad that I never actually met him. Through the email, though, I found him to be friendly, open about his quicksand interest, and generous.
Rest in peace, Pete. You're missed.

I never met Mr Boggs, except through his artwork. He was very talented and had a very recognizable style. It is sad to hear of his passing.

That is really sad news. I’m sorry to anybody who knew him. He was a legend in this niche.
