Does anyone have any good ideas for things I could wear when playing in the mud? Looking for some revealing options.

All I can say is to wear what you want, with the exception of avoiding what might be dangerous or, I suppose, illegal.

What would be considered dangerous?

I couldn’t think of anything that wouldn’t be safe necessarily

For one, large and high boots may be a risk for becoming stuck.

Your milage may vary but the only things I've seen survive more than one trip to my mud pit is swimwear and denim. So bikini top and Daisy Dukes? 8-)

I'm not a huge fan of clothes. I'll wear a pair of cotton boxers if modesty is necessary, but usually throw them away. IDK what clay does to them exactly but by the time you manage to rinse all of it out they never feel right again.

For others, this is part of the thrill....
Over here in Europe the Boots+Raingear-faction seems to be much larger than in America.

For sure it depends on the type of mud and experience.

I understand it is part of the thrill, but that goes back to the rule of never going alone. There might be a fine line between getting badly stuck and getting dead, especially when the water level can change.

Having a partner is always a good idea. When going alone one should at least have a mobile phone ready (advice: have it in a waterproof casing around your neck, not in a pocket in your pants).
I have been also in tidal areas, this can be muddy as hell when you have really nothing solid to grab. Nothing for beginners

I should mention these areas are not deep mud, just enough to coat yourself in
