Name of the Black Sand in Perils of Batgirl II

Hi! Can someone help me tell me the name of this "sand" used by Jim Weathers for the hourglass scene in The Perils of Batgirl II? I want to buy this material for some water tests but I don't know its name or where I can buy it. Thanks!

I think it was raw material black PVC compound Granules purchased in bulk. Here's the original "making of" thread:
