I’m not new here but have been lurking for a while. Since recent posts I’ve thought more about contributing by posting and have finally done it.
So my first question is, Are there any sinkers in the big bend?
I’ve been sinking for a while now but have struggled to find truly deep spots. I’m a 6’ tall and it’s a struggle to find any spots deep enough to submerge in. I’ve done my fair share of sat map scouting and exploring, and have some great spots, but nothing that I can easily (without effort) sink into. The only spot that was an exception was when I made the long drive to an area near st Augustine in Guana st park. But it was too far and too public to enjoy, I definitely could’ve submerged but it was off of the main trail and I just couldn’t send it, because too many people where around. I’d make the trip again but I was wondering if there are any easier ways to find these bottomless tidal mud spots I keep hearing about. I do have a boat so getting to remote spots isn’t an issue.
Also I’m not just looking for spots, I genuinely want to hear, “story’s”? I guess from sinkers who know the area, the struggles I guess, of what it’s like sinking in this part of the world?
Lastly has anyone been to the quarries near Perry florida? Off of 98? I’ve never had the courage to check that place out.
Big bend forgotten, Coast areas.
