What movie/show could have had a sinking scene?

Taking a different take on some what-if scenarios. Essentially, what movie or TV show would you have wanted to see a quicksand scene in, and how would you have done it? This doesn't include films with "near misses" (e.g. swampy water, passing references to quicksand, wrong character falls in, etc.). Rather, I'm referring to films/shows that do not have the potential to have a quicksand scene at all, but with some creativity could have one worked in. That means, too, that the subject matter probably won't have anything to do with swamps, marshes and other obvious quicksand material. This might pique some curiosity, as you may be drawn to a particular scene, actor or storyline that would benefit from a quicksand moment.

A basic example is Baywatch. Disregarding the male-in-sinkhole short, for a series that involves a lot of babes running around, it would've been so easy to include a corner of the beach where one or more of the cast could encounter quicksand. Given that the series covers everything to routine drownings to cyclones, maybe a natural disaster causes instability in the sand, unknown to the lifesavers who suddenly have to rescue several people from a liquefying beach.

Perhaps a Hawaii Five-O arc involves Grace Park's character being lured to pick up a piece of evidence in a dead drop -- only to find that it is literally a dead drop as she finds herself sinking into a quicksand bog.

So, how about you guys?

Offhand The Love Boat comes to mind. If you consider some of the ports of call they did (one time they went to Australia) Vicki/Julie could have somehow did a sinking scene. While exploring an area on a cruise Vicki/Julie could get lost and wind up in quicksand.
I remember in 1987 there was a Facts of Life movie where the gals also went to Australia which could have had a excellent quicksand scene as well. I remember the gals wound up with some jewel thieves somehow. It could have worked out one or two of the gals tried to run off into the brush and wind up in some quicksand.
The Star Trek series could have had a fun scene as well in the halo deck. There could have been a malfunction in the system to cause the halo program to go amuck and cause a couple of the female crew memebers to become stuck in quicksand.
Jessica Alba on Dark Angel would have been great too. Let's say she's trying to hide from some people at Mantacore and while she's going through some unfamilar area she finds herself in a sticky situation.
It'd be interesting on the show Hellcats to see Ashley Tisdale to a sink. The cheerleaders could be on the road to a sporting event and the bus has a flat or something and has to pull over. Ashley's character wonders off in quicksand and is rescued at the last minute.

Perhaps these are two weird ones, offbeat, but I always wanted to see a real QS scene in the cable series "The Lost World." There was a mud puddle-like scene, but it was not a real one. Perfect primordial environment. The other cable series was a brief one, "Queen of Swords," a female Zorro series on USA, set in the early 1800's Mexican southern California. It would have been a desert "western" type quicksand scene, but the heroine would have been a good one to place in such a scene. I think that political correctness has dictated that a heroine can no longer be in distress to be rescued by a male (or any) hero. Too bad. The Vera Miles scene from "Tarzan's Hidden Jungle" will never be filmed again.

i know you asked this question a while back, but i'm just going over some posts since i was here last...

i would have paid big money if they had put a sinking scene in Swamp Thing... there is a scene where Adrienne Barbeau is taking a bath in the lake... but what if she had been seen by the bad guys while getting out, and had to make a run for it, and blundered into a patch of quicksand...

If you read the Novel, there actually was supposed to be a QS scene in Swamp Thing, but Adrienne Barbeau didn't want to do it. I think it was when she first meets the swamp thing and is scared, and backs up into a marsh. There is a very quick moment when she is unsure of her footing, and swamp thing reaches out a hand to help, but she is still scared so the does not accept.

Oh, well.

Rule 1: make sure the performer knows what the role requires before you offer the gig.

Rule 2: Shoot the difficult scene first.

I was up very late recently and happened upon a diverting piece of cinema titled "Busty Cops go to Hawaii". I know what you are thinking but no, it was not quite as intellectual as the title would lead you to believe. The three well endowed leads met in a jungle setting and briefly discussed the likely terrain ahead. It was full of lava rocks and quicksand. A contradiction I know, but I was willing to forgo such details at that moment. To make it even better the team split up with the most bustiest cop heading down a trail alone. True to form for such movies she found a jungle man and had a soft core porn scene. No quicksand. 8-)

You know... that's almost worse than no quicksand at all... to tease the possibility of it, and then, nada! But it sounds like it delivered on the busty cops side of things... :)
