i used this on a message early today: how's it going (under)?

i thought it was just a tad witty. what else might quicksand fans use to greet each other or in reply?

"i have this sinking feeling that everythings going my way!"

"great! i'm all bogged down, how about you?"

"things are looking up... through the narrowing opening above my head!"

"yes I am busy ... up to my neck in you-know-what"

Especially if its the fifth or sixth toast, I would not be terribly surprised if this one came out, "Here's I in the mud."

A popular greeting back in my wasted youth - "Hey man, what's going down?" 8-)

"Working here is like wading through hip-deep mud; you expend a lot of time and effort, but don't make much forward progress."

To which a female coworker of mine replied, "Yeah, but walking in mud can be fun, if it's summer and you're barefoot." :D

And there is Weredragonlady's phrase: "Great minds sink alike."

Here is a familiar saying:
It's an expression when your actions and intentions are useless and futile: "Grasping At Straws!" I can only relate this metaphor to being in quicksand, unless it refers to being swept away in a raging river, trying to grap hold to parts of a riverbank! :?
