NORTH WALES UK sinkers? (is there anybody out there?)

Postby peatbogjimmyuk » Sun Oct 02, 2011 4:17 pm

Hi mud pals

I joined this site quite a while ago now, but have not been on for a while either,
why?
Because I joined this site in the hope of meeting like minded people to share sinking experiences with. To meet people who are not ashamed of their fetish, who are straight, bi, gay, male or female, whatever, it doesn't matter to me.
But, nobody seems to make the effort to meet others.

I did meet one other qs fan (mick), who is a nice guy and spent most of his life thinking he's the only one, as a lot of us did, until we found this excellent and much needed web site which has been a great outlet for all of us and in teaching us all that we are not alone. Anyway, Mick was good enough to make the effort to meet me, he even travelled 5 hours to stay in a hotel local to me. We met up for a day in snowdonia and went sinking in the peat bogs, the next day we went to a quarry silt pond. We had a cracking time and still keep in touch.

I'm straight and would just like someone to share days out visiting sink spots. I live in North Wales and I love sinking in my local peat bogs and quarry silt ponds, you can really enjoy yourself in the peat bogs because they are in the middle of nowhere. I know some great sink spots and I want to share them with others.

Isn't one of the main reasons a lot of us joined this site, to meet others?
And I know alot is for the films too (good job).
So, c'mon sinkers, if ya live near or in North Wales, giz a reply.

Cheers.
Peatbog jimmy. ;)

I probably don't live TOO far away (less than 5 hours for sure) but I don't want to meet others. I'd meet someone of the opposite sex for this kind of stuff, even though there wouldn't be anything sexual involved... it's just, with another guy? Nope! Just not my cup of tea, props to you for finding someone who you could go exploring with though :).

I'm stuck ( ;) ) on the continent across the channel and although i have a nice large bog of my own, i do envy the british isles for their sheer mass of possible locations!

Hi Bart

Not actually my first post, I used to post in the old deep sinking site.
Maybe you can find my old posts there, I did tell a few stories of my earlier and inexperienced sinks.
Yeah, the UK has some great peat bogs and estuarial mud, but on the other hand , I'm into climbing and Europe has got some great climbing.
Anyway, if ya come over for some of our great weather one day, get in touch.

Hi Tempman

I'd love to meet someone of the opp sex that is into sinkin with me too, but that's life.
When Mick and I went out we did our own separate sink and respected each others privacy. What's important is the time spent chatting to someone else who's on the same level as yourself and you can bounce off each others experiences and stories, you may even learn something about your own mind, it puts your mind more at ease meeting and spending time with others who are into this unusual yet thrilling activity.

All the best.
