Not very good but figured I'd post them anyway and contribute something. Didn't have time to go for a sink was just scouting around in preparation for this weekend. The roomate told her new girlfriend about our excursions and she's interested.

Oops, just realized I posted these in discussion not pictures. Mods feel free to move.

LOL....It's private property that me and a few of my friends have permission to use as an off-road park for our quads/trucks when it's not otherwise in use. Basically we have a "if you get hurt I told you to stay out" kind of deal going with the owner. Makes a great cover story for if we get caught hahaha....
The area is a series of settling ponds used to collect waste water from the rock crusher up the road and remove the silt from it, so it constantly gets new material added to it and the consistancy can vary anywhere from almost liquid to play dough. Entertaining to say the least.

Looks sweet! You're lucky to have such an arrangement.

I've been using public lands, so I'm fine, although I'm not absolutely safe from discovery... I am pretty darned secure. I have to park my car on the side of the secondary highway, but around these parts, no one really gives it a second thought, as everyone does it. For different reasons, of course... as far as I know. ;)

That does look nice. I envy you your land agreement!

I wish somebody would dig me a hole to the water table and then let me use it. ANear one area of the Massivian flood plains there is in fact a quarry...and the fences and the signs highly encourage me not to even think of it!

If my yard wasn't so open and exposed to the road I'd seriously have built my own pit already. Rent a backhoe and a dump truck for a day, dig the hole, get the Kaolin delivered, add water, then every day after work do a cannonball off the back porch. 8-)

Unfortunately I am in the city. I can't have my own quicksand pit. The houses are close together, and some of my neighbors are kind of stupid.

The ning-nongs next door had a loud party last night...there were, like, 50 of them, just milling around everything...they'd probably fall into my quicksand pit and drown after pounding down a few.

I don't see why that should be my fault but I'm sure I'd get the blame. So I guess I'll keep my quicksand on public land.

Well, it is likely just as well, Nessie. You certainly wouldn't want to clean up after THAT mess... fishing drunks out of your pits. Besides, it may be hard to explain the building permit... ;)

Natural does have its advantages... :D
