Any Bostonians/New Englanders wanna join me for swamp romps?

Hey there,

I know I haven't posted much here, and therefore none of you would be able to vouch for who I am personally, but I thought I'd throw this request out there. I know there are quite a few fans on this site who live around Greater Boston and New England in general (including one of the producers), and I thought I'd put out a request for a sinking partner or two. I'm 25, live just outside of Boston and have basically been raised on quite a few of the marshes that still exist around here. When traveling up north to private farms and woods (mostly in ME), I would race friends through the deep, peat-like muddy areas and have ourselves a time. I've mostly been keeping local lately, but I've been looking to explore new swamps, bogs, or quagmire-like forests or clay fields, especially with a like-minded person who is just as serious about the feeling of this form of "nature's endurance" and/or eroticism as many of you are here. Someone might have put out a request for meeting up with people in this area before, but I thought it launch it again.

I'm interested to see who's around!! :D

P.S., I must be the only one here who managed a Family Guy character reference, that was elusive here until now!!

Hi there. I know it's not New England, but I'm a New Yorker looking for my first sink. Never had luck upstate, and currently living in the city.. so I may be looking outwards to find some good spots. I'll admit that I'm a little shy about meeting up, but maybe we can cooperate on finding some good locations !

I'm already talking with one person in the area, and have sent messages to the two that have responded here. Hopefully, plans will be taking off soon!

Hey QuagmireGiggity, just wanted to let you know I got your PM ! can't reply yet, though ( i may still be too new of a user ). anywho, I'll let you know if I can make it out there sometime. Maybe we could organize a group sink like the ones in the UK.

Ahh, I forgot about those quirky rules. I didn't start PMing on here until just this month, but I had about 7 or 8 postings under my belt, so that's probably why I was able to start PMing right away.

Yeah, if you think you can make it out this summer, that would be nice. It looks like I will be joining 'ht88' at some locations around Northern RI, and 'jungleQSman' says he'll be on the Cape in late August. I think we can easily get a group going. The Swamp Brothers! Marsh Men!

I think I'm familiar with many of the UK people who gather in groups as well. I'm sure many of their videos populate YouTube and Xtube? (For instance, 'jonnyk1981' might be one of them, although I think his roots are in Scandinavia..)

Do tell more, Gopher, do tell. :D How deep does it get in that location? Is it the standard waist-deep tidal mud that has to be worked up in order to achieve anything close to submersion?

The Sandy Neck area (that jungleQSman has probably mentioned in more detail before), that at least a couple of us will be checking before the end of the summer, supposedly has shoulder-deep mire!
