Yeah, I saw one when I was going for one of my sinking excursions many, many years ago. They do tend to be harmless unless you actually make yourself a threat to them or their young.

They can be kind of aggressive in nature at times. At least around here anyway. For those not inclined or permitted to carry firearms a pocket full of firecrackers in a plastic bag is very effective against just about everything with four feet.

Hmm, we have no weapons here and can't buy fireworks until new years eve (how do i store and effectively use these while already being stuck deep in the bog and with hands totally muddy ?).
I don't want to be overrun by such a fellow, so it seems to be a better idea to skip that place till their young are a little bit older.
