Postby Parzival2600 » Wed Aug 28, 2013 11:38 am

So what exactly happened with Deepsinking.org? Everyone mentions "the fall".

Basically what happened was a couple years back or so on April Fool's Day the people running the board there said they would no longer allow nudity and posting of preview scenes by producers with that in them. They gave no real reason for it, other than that it was just "safe practice" to not take chances of getting in trouble, maybe someone had said something, who knows. Obviously this would not fly given the producers here use nudity a lot. At first people thought it was an April 1 joke, but when they found out it was serious, it was a clear a new board has to be created. I don't know who set it up, I assume Dave and Fred. So that's what led to qucksandfans.com being born. I guess. Most people migrated over here for obvious reason, but I'm sure many still check in at deepsinking.org once in a while, which is now pretty much relegated to furry stuff, stories, G-rated scenes. It is unknown how long they will survive but they're still up. I doubt they get many hits anymore.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Just to get a few facts straight...

Deepsinking.org was operated by Dave Lodoski, Jimminy Thicket, and Foster Blake. Dave did a lot of the moderating for adult areas of the board and when he relenquished that duty Foz and JT changed things to their view of what deepsinking should be. Their view did not include "adult" content so a coalition of sorts, Led by Dave, created QSF.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

It's less of a "fall" and more of an exodus. DS changed its policy on adult content (Duncan sums it up better than I can) and QSF was created to provide that space for the adult side of the fetish.

If I recall correctly, the whole debate/controversy started when somebody posted a scene from a horror movie where a young girl is buried in a liquid sand like substance.

In responsse to one assumption expressed by RickyJ, the costs for maintaining this sight, and therefore the ownership, is shared equally by all of the producers.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

Are you sure? because i remember the exact scene that started a huge topic of debate about what material is allowed and whats not, and not long after it, the adult sections were removed.

Where in anything ever written on the subject either here or at deepsinking has anything ever been written that says that? Do you have any first hand knowledge of what took place? Yes,I am very certain because I was there. As one of the founders and moderators of QSF I was right in the middle of what was happening.
