EDIT: She peddles an "Acts of God" life insurance rider that includes earthquakes, sinkholes, quicksand, and other geological disturbances and gets no takers. Perhaps she starts to doubt her faith and needs a sign from God. She gets it in spades.

Maybe she tries to sell quicksand insurance, gets scoffed at, and then.....well the rest pretty much writes itself.
