Re: What Got You Interested In Quicksand?
Can't remember one specific thing. For me it started when I was a kid, which as I'm 43 now is a long time ago! Think part of it may have been seeing film/TV quicksand scenes when I was a kid in the 1970's. Also nearly every year there were stories in the newspapers about somebody getting stuck in mud or quicksand and having to be rescued (or occasionally drowning). I also remember when I was 9 or 10 a magazine my mother was reading having a 2-page real-life story about a guy getting stuck in quicksand and being rescued by his friends. For some reason that stuck in my mind as well. So I think it was just a combination of things that got my curiosity going.

There is just something (to quote Sherlock Holmes) "singularly stimulating" about women in quicksabd...the peril, helplessness, just wow! A good scene is just awesome.

Not really sure. I remember sinking a "Barbie" doll between the couch cushions so that GI Joe could rescue her- and I was NOT very old.

For me when I was a kid it wasn't so much who was in it just more the actual experience of being in it.

A Benny Hill scene that in retrospect wasn't so spectacular...but it will always have a special place in my mind, since it got this voyage started.

The earliest i can remember was in middle school.
I was actually currious about quicksand, and searched. and found Kaol's old site.
Saw the fetish aspect of it. and. thought "Hey I wanna try this too"

For me, as I mentioned in a earlier post, was 'Tarzan's Hidden Jungle'. I saw it when it was in the movie theaters in the 1950s with my parents. It held a long fixation and curiosity about quicksand for a very long time!
Tarzan to Jill Hardy: Girl be still. Not sink!!"

Re: What Got You Interested In Quicksand?
I have only the most hazy memories that lead me to believe I may have seen Guns of Darkness on television as early as age 2. I do know that I have been absolutely fascinated with the thought of women in it from early on and had my first intentional fantasies were regarding a girl I was fond of in the third grade. All of this has been accompanied by peripheral fetish interests in drowning, underwater, vore, fitness, mild bondage, dominant sex, and other stuff. The onset of puberty drove it to crazy levels in my bloodstream while forcing me to repress it even further than before. One specific memory is of watching Tarzan's Hidden Jungle and knowing, just knowing for certain, that Vera Miles was about to blunder into quicksand without ever having seen the movie before. I must have been around 12. This being before the age of home video, cable television, and computers, I spent hours and hours in every library and bookstore looking for everything on the subject. Upon discovering that I was not alone with this in February of '95 I really don't think I slept for three days as I scoured the web and usenet for more. It is understatement at best to say that life has been a bit less ordinary since then.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

whoa, I thought I was the only one who did this!
later, I smuggled my sister's Barbie outside for some real mud
for me, my interest was damsels in peril....quicksand is only one of the classics
