Greetings all!
So in searching youtube one can find a plethora of videos using a pool of non-newtonion fluid made with cornstarch and water. BLUF: you can push into it gently and sink in but hard hits only make it ripple...awesome sinking material. Think it would be worth it with the right crowd t have a pool party with this stuff?

good luck with that..... is not easy to clean up in small quantities nor is it inexpensive to purchase enough to fill a kiddie pool

the formula for cornstarch quicksand is well known. It essentially just raw cornstarch and water. Unfortunately, since it is more cornstarch than water, a one-cubic yard pool would require about 24 or 25 cubic feet of cornstarch. Not cheap. And then its mixed shelf life is not very long so you have to dispose of it before it starts to decay.
