I think you can chalk up the craziness in part to the quarantine. Everybody had the same idea of "We've been cooped up for months so lets go a little nuts this year with the fireworks!".

The craziness I can tolerate and am happy to do so. The stupidity with things that can cause injuries and fires is something else.

Totally agree. You gotta respect the amount of boom you're playing with. Basically you should treat aerial fireworks with the same respect you treat a firearm, because they're capable of doing the same amount of damage if misused.
I found out one of my neighbors lost his pool to an errant 40 gram rocket. It fell over after he lit the fuse and shot right through the soft vinyl side (quickset style pool). The water stopped it but amplified the blast ennough that it split the pool wide open and flooded his yard. Kinda funny but kinda not, cause that could've ended a lot worse.

Yikes! Depending on the local laws the damage is probably not covered by insurance either.

He thankfully didn't lose anything except for the pool, backyard is down hill from the house so the water went in a non-destructive direction. But that pointy stick with the explosives on the end could've just as easily ended up in the chest cavity of one of his guests..........

Things like this are what got me to buy a professional grade mortar rack. It's best when your cannon does NOT fall over and lob cannon shells into your spectators.

A good friend of mine was unfortunately stuck in the hospital over the 4th of July, so we're doing 4th 2.0 tonight to celebrate his release. 8-) Pyro Demon got reccommended to me as an up and coming company so decided to try out a few of their products.
