1) Should a sports coach who wins but by bennding rules about academic performance of athletes be fired or given a raise?

2) Should a coach who insists on athletes going to class and passing their courses, but whose teams finish in the middle of the pack be fired or given a raise?

In a more serious vein though, there's an interesting article in the LA Times about Sidney Lumet, director of 12 Angry Men, who just passed.
