Messed up emails

Postby julie » Wed Aug 10, 2011 9:13 pm

I just checked my email, I received three that might make you guys laugh a little so here goes

(1) by clicking the link at the bottom of the first email, I can hide my online activities from my parents until I turn 18 LOL

(2) by clicking the link at the bottom of the email I can save thousands on my second house, (same people as the first email)
Think about it if I was under 18 why would I be buying my SECOND house?

(3) my brother in Mali has been killed in the country's civil war, my sister in law has $64 million to put in my bank acct if I give it to her, cause she really wants me to have it instead of her so I can provide for my children during these trying times. I can see the first two since the company emails my moms house telling her that her Internet is down. But I have no kids , I have no brother, and I have no idea where Mali is. But if she really wants to empty my bank acct she can have all three cents that are in there right now.
Ok where do guys put all that food they eat?

Ahh...these e-mails, I gather, are from close personal friends?

(cough, hack, aHEM!)

Wow. I thought I was entitled to be irritated because I receive spam in my private e-mail (which does bear a feminine name) promoting medications to enhance, enlarge and invigorate body parts that I don't own.

But I guess my spam isn't that interesting compared to yours!

Personally I find the ones I get for breast enlargement the most amusing, although really I just wish the people that send me this crap would die of some horrible disease.
My honest opinion is that unsolicited advertising via email AND REGULAR MAIL should be considered harassment and banned by law. I often wonder how many acres of the Amazon (the rainforest, not the website) have gone directly from my mailbox to my shredder over the years.
