"On August 15th 1957, Air France inaugurated its very first services with the Lockheed L-1649A Starliner, the ultimate development of the Lockheed Constellation family.

To commemorate that fact, Air France flew a "Beach Tour", flying one of its brand-new Starliners along 163 beaches along the French coast, from Le Touquet in the North, to Monaco on the Mediterrean."

During the first minute of the video, you have some outstanding views of famous quicksands. Worth viewing (Actually, Mediterranean cost also worth viewing, for other reasons)
