ST Axanar Update

Well things continue to roll along with the production; the soundstage was purchased/rented in full, and full-scale set construction is well underway. All the preproduction things that gotta get done before the filming stuff gets going in full. The next Kickstarter is scheduled for late June, sometime in July for the runup to filming. Podcasts and the daily Captain's Log updates continue to be posted at Axanar Productions ..note the slight change to avoid any bullshit from CBS and their lawyers

That is rather noteworthy, especially with CBS recently coming out and stating they weren't interested in doing any new ST series at this time. There had been some traction in the winter for a series with Micheal Dorn playing Captain Worf but that closes that out. What is interesting is the continued popularity of Axanar, with it recently making the list of top 10 films to look for in 2015-16 from Space.com. Fans clearly want a TOS-based movie, but the big shots continue to be, well, assholes. Epecially with Axanar, not only being a TOS-era Movie, but a TOS WAR Movie. Outside of DS9's Dominion War arc (which was extremely popular) no series has tried it. Which of course is one reason DS9 will always be the unclean poor sister

Prelude continues to get tons of views, on youtube with them closing in on 1,000,000 views. Drop in and have a look, help them get over the hump there.
