I want to like this series but I"m starting to get concerned about the franchise becoming too kid friendly. What are all the parents going to do when Death Troopers gets made into a movie and their kids want to see it?

I did too, but they epic failed with me in S1 , doing everything retarded I predicted they would. it remains to be seen what is going to happen in S2 but they will lose a lot of the hardcore fans they interesting now with Vader as he should be if they play games. Lousy writing and bullshit will do that in a hurry. If they want to be taken seriously, then the threat must be serious, as are the consequences. You dont take a blaster bolt to the faceplate and just get knocked down. FAIL. They dont want to kill their toy characters in Ep1; fine - then wound seriously, make some fucking consequences at least.

Think the only other time I even read about it was in EU stuff and even then it was something a few of the Rogues were competent at. Not Vader level though, he just re-wrote the manual there. Consider today; is anyone still using Shaw as 'the bible' for Fighter Combat - Tactics and Maneuvering or has BFM moved on to other things?
