Armistice Day/Veteran's Day

Tomorrow is Armistice Day or veteran's Day, the anniversary of the day the First World War ended. All the veterans of that war are gone now but the day also honors all veterans.

Also Remembrance Day in Canada and Britain... although in Britain they mark it the Sunday before Nov. 11...

The meaning is the same, though...

We also observe a minute's silence at 11 am on November 11th. regardless of what day it falls on in the UK, and quite rightly so.
