Maybe we need to do some tests on pilots before they board. Test their reaction to silver, cold iron, or Holy Water on their skin (when they don't know if its real or a substitute) and insult their mother/sister/manhood in a language they don't know. Stuff like that. Much as I hate to be superstitious, there is a pattern emerging here. Sudden personality change, a snap without warning, kill as many innocents as possible, then yourself.

The spooky part about this one is the copilot's absolute silence through the whole thing. No "I'm mad as hell and I can't take it any more!", no "Death to the (insert group)!", no "Sic semper tyrannis!", no "Allah u ackbar!", no last words, no prayers, nothing. People who actually go through with suicide rarely do it in a way that attracts attention until the act is done. They just do it when something finally pushes them over the edge. This guy saw the last bit of his normal life going down the drain thanks to mental illness and just said "fuck it, I'm out".
