How about: Angry waves throwing themselves against the dock. Getting us seasick would be the perfect followup to force feeding us "all them 'dare outs"

My father spent sixteen years in the US Navy both active an reserve. He can't even handle riding in the back seat of a car so I've listened to many stories of "manning the rail to return all to father Neptune". I get queasy just looking at these.

A few more shots from prior seasons, in variety of conditions, less roll-inducing

Those storm pictures make me think of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
"The wind in the wires made a tattletale sound,
And a wave broke over the railin'.
And every man knew, as the Captain did, too,
T'was the witch of November come stealin'."
-Gordon Lightfoot, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."

Well, for the November gales interests...
Actually, Dec 2, 2006 you would hardly believe this is Lake Erie not far from Pelee Point -- anchored but had to shift over to Sandusky, couldnt hang on here

Jeez, Kham,
I think I'll stick to hunting bears. Those pics are awesome, but a trifle scary. I knew you were nuts
but, can't you find safer employment? I'm going to have nightmares about waves breaking over the bow tonight, thank you very much!

Yeah, these pictures are just a bit intimidating. So are those waves going over a nice, securely-in-place dock or...are you taking that picture on a boat?
(shudder)
And I'm a little worried about Harry Purvis there. He looks like he's going to roll over. He came out of this okay, I hope?
People think I'm nuts to go to all those bogs, but mud doesn't make waves. Very cool pictures. You're brave.

No, thats from the wheelhouse of the Algoway, a mile or so off using the big zoom; he made it in to Kingsville, Ont, but he really shouldnt have been out in the first place
If the weather that crappy, you need to ask "is it worth dying over?"
Others to post later when get the chance and shipnet access
