Mr.Dillon?...Mr.Dillon? Remembering James Arness

Gunsmoke, and James Arness, was a classic. Apparently, on the radio show, it was much more obvious that Miss Kitty was a Madame. The TV show tip-toed around this aspect of her character, even though I think that it was pretty obvious that she had no other job. Regardless, I remember bringing a Gunsmoke steel lunchbox to elementary school, one that I still have in the garage with wrench fittings in it. Good times, old times - he was a good guy and a good actor. Kind of like Jimmy Stewart and Ted Williams, he really served his country in WWII in the military in an honorable and heroic fashion. Can you imagine any TV actor today volunteering for combat? The Greatest Generation - of which my father was a part. Rest in peace.
