Well, dang! :( I rather liked him.

I know, me too. I'm not quite as heartbroken as when Tennant left (Ten is my Doctor and I'm not afraid to admit that), but it's still very sad to know he's leaving.

The problem is he's too good, and the big money is on this side of the Atlantic; not the first time it has happened.

Or it could be that he's leaving to get away from Trouble at t'Mill. Word reaches me (from a source I trust absolutely) that the DW production office is not a fun place at the moment. It seems Mr Moffat has been shagging one of the assistant producers, and then fired her as a breaking-up present. The BBC want to get rid of Moffat, but his contract(s) (he has his finger in several pies) means that he has them over a barrel. There are a lot of less-than-happy campers.

If that is true, and I cant fire the asshole?

Fair enough

Prepare to have you skin removed online with every grisly detail of whatever you been doing. And I am sure the fem in question would be happy to help with the skinning. Cant be sued for telling the truth, or your opinion

At least one major (non-DW) project into which the BBC has already sunk much cash will be scuppered if Mr Moffat walks away. Read the small print. The BBC has been falling for this sort of thing for fifty years, but they never learn.

I would presume that project would be Moffat's adaptation of Sherlock, ?

Yes and no. I should have said Projects, plural. There's another one out there, yet to see the light of day.

Further news from my source...

Matt Smith was quite happy to sign up for a fourth series - until Moffat called him a cunt in front of the whole crew.

The BBC have tried to control Moffat by placing a level of management above him - meaning that no-one knows who's in charge.

BBC management tried to recruit Daniel Radcliffe as the twelfth Doctor, but he said no; quite vehemently. BBC management (possibly remembering the line about the Doctor wanting to be a red-head) then asked Rupert Grint. He may or may not have said yes, but everyone was so appalled by this idea that it was scrapped.

A favourite has emerged - I won't say who; but not a household name, although his (or her) father was, on this side of the Atlantic, at least.

Moffat has also been pissing off writers - including some very big names. A lot of talent has walked away. One key figure claims to have been fired four times when Moffat was drunk; and re-hired four times when Moffat sobered up.

Much depends on who wins the power-struggle: but the 2014 season looks to be in trouble.

Will there be a lawsuit over this?

I advocate the philosophy, "Never shit where you eat," meaning never mix activities where problems in one role immediately cause problems in another one, especially when that role keeps you fed, clothed, and sheltered.

This Moffat fellow sounds like quite a piece of work.

Almost certainly not. Whatever the result, everyone will lose.
