Re: Hickok's Weekly Shotgun Fix
Other nice thing about a shotgun......dirt cheap. Entry level 12 gauge for less than $200.
IAC Hawk w/ Ghost Rings (very similar to the one in the video): $179 Heard nothing but good things about this gun. Basically an offshore clone of the 870. Normally I would say spend the extra and buy American but if you're on a budget......

Case of target loads (250 rounds): $83.99

Throw in shipping, tax and a charge for the background check (whatever FFL you ship the gun to will charge you because you didn't buy it from them) and you'll probably still be under $300.

Little short vid added this morning, one of the close-up series
Springfield Armory TRP 1911 Just a typical close-up short shooting up some cans and jugs, with a watermellon getting the final reward

Re: Hickok's Weekly Shotgun Fix
My Springfield has a full length guid rod, my Uncles Colt doesn't. The Springfield shoots a little smoother but I think this has probably more to do with it not being 40 years old and having a competition trigger.
The only time I notice the thing is when I need an allen wrench to remove it during cleaning......which I find annoying.

Ok.....so apparently shotguns have one weakness......giant gummy bears. On a side note I'm now seriously considering gummy bears as improvised body armor.

Re: Hickok's Weekly Shotgun Fix
Considering the damage we have seen caused in other vids, I suspect some handloading hank panky
