Man killed in movie theater over texting.

As opposed to guns, which just end living.

I'm talking about standards. You're talking about weapons. Would you feel better if he had been stabbed or run over in the parking lot?

Gun Control--because it doesn't matter that a guy died, it just matters that he was shot.

Well, let's not get into the usual tail chasing discussion. I doubt anyone is going to get converted one way or another here.

Bottom line is that it's crazy somebody gets shot over something as stupid as texting in a theater.

A tool can be a cause for concern when it's in the wrong hands but it's the hands that are the core of the problem. What the fuck is wrong with society in general when a human being sees no problem with ending another human beings life over harsh words and popcorn?! I've gotten in minor altercations while wearing my piece, even got in a minor shoving match with some jackass that hit my car in a parking lot (he started it), but the thought of responding to those situations by drawing a gun and killing someone is ludicrous to me.
