Farewell Susanne Somers, aka Chrissy Snow. :(

Suzanne Somers, the actress best known for her roles in TV comedies including "Three's Company" and "Step by Step," has died, her longtime publicist announced Sunday. She was 76 years old.

“Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th," R. Couri Hay said in a statement. "She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years. Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family. Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly."

I think it took more talent than one would surmise to play the lovable dumb blonde role that she portrayed on Three’s Company. The show was not the same when she left it. Another more recent example of good actress/dumb blonde was Christina Applegate on Married With Children. Three’s Company could not be made in today’s politically correct atmosphere. RIP Ms. Somers.

RIP...... :(
I'm too young for Three's Company but Step by Step was part of the regular "TGIF" lineup on ABC that the fam would watch every Friday night. Good times.

Great series if you can find season copies.

This was the first time we all saw Ritter, Somers and DeWitt together: https://youtu.be/v48v0kx2mVk

When I saw Burt Young as Paulie in Rocky, I remembered first seeing him in a small but significant role in Chinatown years earlier. He certainly created an iconic supporting character in the Rocky series (although Talia Shire and he did not look anything like brother & sister). The character and the series are woven in as part of my young adulthood. Rest easy, Burt.

And, as a child watching B&W Superman reruns, I always marveled that Lois Lane (and everyone else) could not recognize George Reeves as Superman just because Clark Kent put on glasses and changed (slightly) his slicked hair style.
