What about that RN-inspired central longitudinal bulkhead, they just couldn't seem to get rid off in all their new construction? Not saying it directly caused the capsize, but it sure as hell didn't help and would have made counterflooding a bitch

Originally an Anime. The bad aliens have beaten Earth's space fleet, and have been nuking the planet from space. If the damage to the biosphere isn't reversed, it's planetary extinction within a year. The good aliens try to get a messenger through; the messenger dies, but the message is recovered. The humans get a new, powerful stardrive, directions to the good aliens' homeworld, and a promise of technology that will clean up the radioactive contamination. To protect their new ship from spies and bombers, the humans build it inside the hulk of the Yamato, which is sitting exposed on what was the ocean floor. (They tunnel in from underneath.) They keep the armor, since the new drive has plenty of power to lift the Yamato into space. Oh, and humans being what we are, they design a way to use the stardrive's power as a supergun- the "wave motion cannon."
So anyway, an elite force of space navy types and scientists take the reborn Yamato on a quest to find the good aliens' homeworld, Ischendar.
The English dubbed version was called "Star Blazers" and the ship renamed the "Argo"- even though the name is obviously Yamato.

Is this like a serious movie or something along the lines of Spaceballs? Cause that's probably the most ridiculous spaceship I've seen since Lone Star's flying Winnebago lol.......

That looks like an excellent build, Reisen55. A friend of mine built the 1/200 scale Bismarck recently, and that looked pretty impressive. I mostly build airplane models, but I do have the 1/350 scale HMS Belfast to build ( My late Father's ship ) but i would love a 1/200 scale version.

I love model building, but a combo of expense and lack of space has stymied my efforts. When I was in high school I once built a 1/350 scale of the German battleship Tirpitz... took all summer... but I was pretty proud of it. Then a week later, it disappeared. I asked my brother where the hell was it and he said he and a buddy took it to a nearby creek and blew it up with firecrackers!

The rest of the day was a bit of a blur.... needless to say, we didn't talk much for the rest of the year after that.

Might be worth a look, there is almost nothing easy to obtain on Shinano, and Musashi is literally the other sister for her info as well
