One can only hope the same fate will not befall Doctor Who but that discussion belongs on another thread.

Dead on DG; like VOY it had so much potential that was tossed aside for the almighty status quo. Chuck Sonneburg's opinionated guide does a far better job of tearing them to small pieces than I, but that whole Temporal bullshit was so far into 'wait, what?' that if killed things before it even started. No shields, but we have ARMOUR that... somehow degrades just like shields..... jesus h christ on snowshoes.... We had a freaken holodeck episode even before bloody Voyager did in its run. For me, the moment of no return and going completely off the rails was the "Dear Doctor" episode -- yeah, dear dockor MENGELE! The prime directive before it's even invented, and, bring on GENOCIDE. This, THIS shit is why the retards at the helm from TNG onward are unqualified to do any damned thing. Here's a short quiz: Does the hero of your story let a young child burn to death trapped in a flaming car wreck? Bonus question: do they try and explain that it was the only moral thing to do as he stands there listening to her screams? THAT is not the hero of any story girls. In Kirk's Federation, he would have beaten you until you begged to die; then spaced you.

The Mirrorverse only was in 2 episodes of the final season, and they were some of the better ones made. How sad is it the crazy evil version of the characters was 10x better than the originals? It showed, and showed badly how screwed up they were too. Using modern effects, how cool did a Constitution-class look? And all the old 60s bridge stuff looked fantastic. You could have set in the normal universe called it ST-Defiant , or Lexington, did not matter --- it would have worked with anyone having half a brain writing. And you dont Kirk and Enterprise, aside from mentioning as in-verse characters. Geez, you could do episodes from the other side of coin as it were, just from the original stories. Course, that would take some original thinking....
