Scott Laughton just taken off on stretcher in Phily after losing his balance on a hockey play gone wrong as the saying goes. Not a dirty play at all. He was fighting to get to the puck and lost position on the Washington defender and rather than protect himself, pushed it too much and crashed into the boards, leading with the side of his head. Was never out cold, so might just be precautionary

Panthers score midway through the third, and even their series at 2-2. Shaping up to be very close and grinding this one out

Stolen from TSN :D
Jason Spezza scored the go-ahead goal with his skate, Ales Hemsky and Patrick Eaves each scored on a second-period power play to give Dallas' lagging special teams a lift, and the Stars defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 on Wednesday night to push their series lead to 3-1

Dallas look boring as hell up until that 2nd period PP, then they seemed to wake up and realize, hey we can go home up 3-1 :P

The Sharks continue to have LA's number, prevailing 3-2 in a very hard game. End to end, and not for want of trying. They now lead 3-1 in their series. Holy cow

Tampa ends their series with a 1-0 win tonight, closing series 4-1. It was so exciting, they never even updated up in the Pitt game...

Which speaking of, Pitt steams over the Rangers 5-0 , with a very high-skill-high-discipline display of what a really good team looks like.
Crosby, Malkin, all the supporting cast, and Goaltender #3 for the shutout? Why do we need Fleury again?? I thought something like this was coming, they scored the first goal before I had even opened a beer :D

Other Games underway

Welp. Nashville got beat 4-1 by the Quackers to even the series going back to Anaheim. Bugger.
And, Chicago takes into double OT, to win on a Kane early goal to win and stave off elimination. Final score 4-3, Blues still lead series 3-2 heading back to Chicago for game 6. Nothing like dramatics

We appear to play better in Anaheim so maybe it's not so bad.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

It's not their first BBQ, so I don't know what to make of it. One thing though, Don Cherry made a point: When you are on the road, the Team stays in the same hotel together, has meals together, practice, workouts, everyone is doing the TEAM stuff. When you come home? You scatter all across the area. He used to book a hotel for the boys even when home in the playoffs, and have everyone operate out of there. Forget this loosy goosy stuff. We're going to WAR , boys. So you act like it
