It was Morgan Freeman in that movie, not Mr. Jones.

Nice.

Just minutes ago, I needed to respond to a security question setup. 'Who is your favorite Author?' ... Clancy.

He played the equivalent role in the theatrical production, alongside Angela Landsbury as Ms. Daisy.
I still regret not buying those tickets to the theatrical production when it toured Down Under some time ago.

She was an accomplished, Oscar-winning actress, who transcended the good-looking (which she really was) parts to playing older parts requiring acting skill. I thought she was cast well in a lighter part as the mother superior in Sister Act. She and Alan Rickman were both perfect, outstanding, and underrated as McGonagall and Snape in the Harry Potter series. I never watched Downton Abbey, but three Emmy awards there tell you how good she was. Sad news.

She was indeed special. I am admittedly only truly familiar with her from the Harry Potter films. But it's impossible to imagine anyone else in that role.

Granny Wendy in Hook. Her performance moved me to tears.
