I did convert all my favorite ones to DVD and have made MP4 files of several of them. Brinke's best movie, Haunting Fear, never got a proper DVD release. There was one that may have been a bootleg since it didn't stay in release very long. The quality on it was horrible, too, and the movie was edited. To be honest, the DVD I made myself looked a lot better.

Andy Sidaris's Stacey and Seven were never released on DVD either. His family didn't own those, but they did own his 80s and 90s films, which were in the Girls, Guns and G-Strings set. BTW, the famous swordsman scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark was lifted from Andy's Seven.

Some of Monique’s other well known B-movies were Evil Toons, Deathstalker 2, Emmanuelle 5, Transylvania Twist (with Brinke Stevens), and Silk 2. My favorite Monique movie was Scream Queen Hot Tub Party, although that was due to Brinke more than Monique. I think Monique’s best “Brinke-less” movie was probably Angel Eyes, which co-starred Erik “CHiPs” Estrada. Monique had a sexy lesbian scene in it and turned in a fairly decent performance as a psycho.

my favorite was DeathStalker 2... dangling over a bubbling vat, the rope holding her up on fire...

And I own them all. Complete with autographs from Julie and Andy.

I also acquired a bit of wardrobe from Julie which was delivered to MPV to be used in a video this summer. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

Have you seen Stacey and Seven? I wish they had gotten a proper DVD release. The DVDs I made from an old worn VHS look pretty bad.

My other question is...Isn't the wardrobe you bought from Julie going to be WAAAAYYYYY too big for any of your models? Julie was a very tall woman. Or was the clothing something that Julie just had for photo shoots where she was the photographer and the model was someone else?

Death Stalker 2 was one of several movies that Monique made for director Jim Wynorski, who was one of the more prolific B-movie directors of the 1980s.

Re: Caroline Munro, Part 1

A couple of Hammer Studios lovelies for this round.

First up, Caroline Munro. Caroline did achieve some mainstream notoriety as a Bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me, Roger Moore’s best 007 outing and one of the top five entries in the entire series, in my opinion. To be honest, though, the movie would have been improved if Caroline had gotten the main female lead instead of Barbara Bach. Supposedly, Ms. Munro was offered the role of Kryptonian villainess Ursa in the Superman movies and had to turn it down. I’ve seen conflicting reports over whether that was to take the Bond movie or because she had already signed her contract for Starcrash. I think she would have been great in the Superman movies. There were some Starcrash photos that showed Caroline in quicksand, but the scene was cut from the movie.

To be honest, I think Spy is definitely Ms. Munro’s best movie, but her best Hammer, and B-movie outing, to me was the very underrated Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter. Some of her other B-movie outings include Ray Harryhausen’s The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, William Lustig’s Maniac, Vincent Price’s fun vehicle The Abominable Dr. Phibes, and Dracula A.D. 1972, which was one of Hammer’s Dracula films starring Christopher Lee.

Caroline also tried her hand at singing, and her song “Warrior of Love” was featured in Don’t Open ‘Til Christmas. Caroline was also featured in Adam Ant’s video for "Goody Two Shoes", but this was during the early 80s when she added a blonde streak to her previously gorgeous hair, which made it look, quite frankly, like a skunk. I think she had the same hairdo in The Last Horror Movie, but it has been a while since I watched it. (Like over 20 years).

Here is the trailer for Starcrash. (She’s in it more than Captain Kronos).

If you're wondering about the lack of nudity, Caroline was the one B-Queen who refused to do any. Our loss. Still, what a lovely lady she was.

Re: Ingrid Pitt, Part 1

Next up is the late Ingrid Pitt, who starred in my favorite Hammer movie, The Vampire Lovers. Since I wanted to keep the thread fun, I started not to include her because she is no longer with us, but I thought Ms. Pitt would probably enjoy knowing that she is remembered and still appreciated. What do you guys think? So far, Ms. Pitt is the only lady I’ve featured who passed away. Would you rather I not post any more deceased B-movie stars or do you think celebrating their beauty and careers is a good tribute?

In The Vampire Lovers, Ms. Pitt had several nice girl-on-girl kissing scenes, including some with beautiful future Bond girl Madeline Smith (Live and Let Die). Most of the pictures of Ms. Pitt are from The Vampire Lovers. Some of Ms. Pitt's other films include Countess Dracula, The Wicker Man (the 1973 original and not the Nicholas Cage abomination), and The House that Dripped Blood. As you can see from the photos, Ms. Pitt didn’t share Caroline Munro’s aversion to nudity. Good for her!

The entire movie (I did a quick check and the nudity appears to be left in. I didn’t watch the entire film on youtube because I have it on disc.)

Can we really call "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" or "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" B movies? "Golden Voyage" was low budget, all right (under a million in early '70s dollars) but it took in $11 million. That would be a box office of $67 million today on a budget of $6.1 million. Okay, "Phibes" was even lower budget (under $500K) but grossed $3 million. That would be a $3 million budget and an $18.4 million box office today. B movies by budget, but not by quality.
